Treatment
The treatment plan for a TMD should be determined as much by the patient's individual needs as the disorder. For example clicking is very common and in many cases reassurance is all that is required if the click doesn't actually cause pain or interfere with their day to day lives.
One or more of the following methods (amongst others - see list to the right) may be used simultaneously to maximise treatment:
